Search Delivery

Working closely with your consultants and partners, we deliver at all stages of a search from the briefing stage to shortlist, providing detailed progress reports and market analysis.
We treat every search as unique and when you instruct us, we will start from a blank canvas and a specific talent pool is built for the engagement. You will always have confidence that the talent we are engaging is current, has received a consistent message on the brief and has been assessed against a set of agreed criteria.

Talent Mapping

We help organisations map the market for outstanding talent, either for benchmarking their own capability or to identify a more diverse talent base.
Our work helps organisations in identifying new opportunities to balance their existing talent with new skills and capabilities required to meet their strategic goals and vision.

Training
​
We work directly with Executive Search firms and Talent Directors to deliver in-depth training on end-to-end search delivery and headhunting methodologies.
We cover all aspects of headhunting for Researchers, Associates, Consultants and Talent Managers, enabling a high standard of project delivery and client outcomes.
We have seen that development of researchers and talent managers tends to be on-the-job, with some initial training centred around key processes and procedures.
Through a mixture of theory and practical elements, our course is designed to provide a deeper level of understanding on all aspects of search delivery from the briefing stage through to delivery of a long list.

I set up Octopus Reseach to provide effective search delivery and talent mapping services to the Executive Search industry.
Realising that not every Executive Search consultancy has experienced in-house research capabilities, and not every organisation has the time to map and benchmark talent in the market, I wanted to build a service that focused on tailored delivery, speed and consistency; allowing businesses to make the right decisions about their talent in complete confidence.

Having worked as both a 360-consultant delivering on C-Level and Board appointments and in later years as an Executive Search Researcher, I understand the pressure of meeting tight deadlines and the need to deliver at pace while maintaining exceptional quality.
